Harlin Keith Bentien, 93, of Monona, Iowa died Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Great River Care Center in McGregor, Iowa.

Harlin was born January 26, 1927 to Linford and Thelma (Henderson) Bentien on a farm Southwest of Monona, Iowa. He was baptized on April 7, 1927 and confirmed on June 2, 1940, both at the Methodist Church in Monona.

Harlin attended Lamker School thru the eighth grade,

On November 19, 1947, Harlin was united in marriage with Imogene Kuthe at the Methodist Parsonage in Monona. Harlin farmed all his life and also did commercial trucking. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his great-grandchildren. Harlin also enjoyed playing cards and traveling to Europe, Canada, Mexico and all of United States. He also enjoyed driving his truck and hunting fox and pheasant.

Surviving Harlin are his wife, Imogene Bentien of Monona, Iowa; children, Mike (Wendy) Bentien of Monona, Iowa, Shelby (Steve) Hass of Monona, Iowa and Kevin (Vicki) Bentien of Postville, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Heidi Pierce, Michelle Hyman, Sharon Harms, Shane Hass, Shanell (Brian) Freeseman, Derek (Tarah) Bentien, Andy (Shannon) Bentien and Lindsey (Shawn) Carey; twenty great-grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.
Harlin was preceded in death by his parents, Linford and Thelma Bentien; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Irene and Harvey Kuthe; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Fritz Funk, Ramona and Leo Christofferson and JoAnn and Charles Benesh; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Darlene and Keith Kishman.

A Private Graveside Service will be held.
Memorials may be sent to Froelich Foundation, Monona City Cemetery, Monona Ambulance Service, Living Faith United Methodist Parish and Monona Fire Department.

Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Monona, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
