Relatives and friends in this city were shocked on Friday evening by learning of the death of Mrs. Kasper. She had been ill only a couple of days and had just returned from a visit at Dubuque. She was 75 years old and leaves to mourn her death one son, Joseph and wife. Mr. Kasper preceded her in death several years ago. Mrs. Kasper was a faithful member of St. Mary's church and the funeral was held from the same Monday a.m. at 9 o'clock. Rev. Dupont officiated and burial was made in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
