Mrs. Cora Niemeyer passed away at her home Tuesday afternoon, after a several month's illness. She was 55 years old.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 8:30 o'clock at St. Mary's church, the Rev. Father J. J. Horsfield officiating. The remains will be interred in the St. Gabriel cemetery, Prairie du Chien (Wis.).
Mrs. Niemeyer's death was not unexpected, as hope for her life had been despaired of for many weeks.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Don M. Keller of Platteville, Wis., and Mrs. E. G. Lager, McGregor; five sons, C. B. Niemeyer and Edward of Fairhope, Alabama, and George, Clarence and John, McGregor. She is also survived by three sisters and one brother, namely: Mrs. J. Underkofler, Mrs. S. Jones and Mr. J. N. Johnson of Belmond, and Mrs. T. H. Kenefick of Eagle Grove, Iowa.
Mrs. Niemeyer was born in Belmond, Iowa, September 13th, 1874. On the 22nd of June, 1898, she was married to M. Niemeyer of Elkader, who preceded her in death.
In her kind, modest, retiring life, devoted to the interests of her family Mrs. Niemeyer has merited the love and esteem of all her acquaintances. - North Iowa Times.
