Clayton County Register, Thur., 16 May 1929. Guttenberg column.
On Thursday forenoon at 6 o'clock in this city occurred the death of Mr. John P. Eckart. He was president of the Guttenberg State Bank for a number of years. His wife and four daughters, one grandchild, one brother and two sisters mourn his death, also a large number of other relatives.
The funeral was held from the Masonic Hall on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. A large number of relatives from outside the city attended the funeral.
