Mrs. Hubert Doerring passed away Wednesday afternoon at her home near here. She was taken ill with influenza which turned into pneumonia and had given birth to a child Sunday, Jan. 6. Everything possible was done for her but to no avail. On Jan. 25, of last year she came into our midst as a bride, winning the friendship of everyone with her sweet ways. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the Luana Lutheran church, Rev. Kumpf officiating. Interment was made in the cemetery near the church.
