Mrs. Aug. W. Schroeder was born at Farmersburg, June 23, 1872, as Dorothy Margaret Nevermann, daughter of Frederick J. and Maria Dorothy Nevermann. She was baptized and confirmed a Lutheran.

She was united in marriage Jan. 21, 1896, with Aug. W. Schroeder and lived since then on a farm in Wagner township.

Throughout her life she was known as a kind and industrious woman. For 27 years she suffered much with asthma and only found relief the last few years of her life.

In October she had the pleasure of visiting with her daughter, Alma, of Colorado, little thinking that this was to be her last visit. After a short siege of sickness she died a peaceful death Jan. 3, 1929, attaining an age of 56 years, seven months and 10 days. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, Aug. W. Schroeder, her children, Alma, Mrs. Enoch Christianson, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Fred, at home, 4 grandchildren, Lorenz and Inez Christianson and Betty and Lois Schroeder; a daughter and Son-in-law; a brother and a sister.
