Miss Mary Cathryn Hunt was born April 7, 1846, in Monongohala County, West Virginia, and passed away Dec. 30, 1928, at the age of 82 years, eight months and 23 days, at the home of her brother, James Hunt, near Garber.

Miss Hunt came, with her parents, to Clayton County in the year 1848 and settled in Mallory township near Garber, where she spent her entire life. She was converted in early life and became a charter member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church at Bethel, of which she remained a devoted member until God called her to membership in the church Tryune. She was loved, honored and respected by all who knew her. She leaves to mourn her departure two brothers, James and Henry Hunt, both of Mallory township, and a host of relatives and friends; her father, mother, two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

She was a meek and patient sufferer and has now laid down the armor and awaits the call of the general resurrection.

When her friends and dear companions never more her face shall see, in her old accustomed places. They will grieve and say with me:

She is gone, but not forgotten,
Never shall her memory fade;
Sweetest thoughts shall ever linger
Round her noble life and Grave.

Funeral services were held at Bethel church Jan. 2, at 2:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. H. N. Hulse.
