Elkader Register, Thur., 04 June 1925.

Herman D. Kregel of Garnavillo towship died at a hospital in Bellvue, Iowa, on Tuesday morning June 2nd, aged 59 years. He had been a sufferer from cancer for some time but the efforts of the surgeons and physicians were unavailable.

Mr. Kregel was born in Ganavillo township, August 15th, 1865. He gained his early education in the public schools of the county and continued to assist his father on the farm.

April 24th, 1890, he was united in marriage to Miss Minnie Meyer; four children were born to them, Adelia, Arnold, Elmer and Ivanelle.

Mr. Kregel held many offices of public trust. He was connected with the Garnavillo Commission Company, Garnavillo Creamery Company, and for many years he was a member of the board of trustees of Garnavillo township.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at Garnavillo.

We sympathize with the bereaved family in the loss of a loving husband and kind father.
