Fatal Accident at Guttenburg.
Guttenburg, Aug. 18.—William Putzer, about 65 years of age, fell from a pile of lumber on which he was working this morning and broke his neck, dying almost instantly.____________________

The sad news that William Putzier had died of heart disease at about 2 o'clock p.m., while at work in the lumber yard was circulated about our town Thursday afternoon.
The deceased was born March 2, 1832, at Postelow, Germany, and came to America in the year 1876. He was married in Germany in the year 1861 to Miss Louise Kruse, and there were born to them four boys and four girls.
The funeral was held Sunday, Aug. 20th, 1899, from the Lutheran church, Rev. Janzig officiating, with burial in the City cemetery. Coroner Scholz impaneled Hugo Jacobs, Ben Tieke and Wm. Nolte as coroner's jury, who after hearing the evidence returned a verdict of death by heart disease. The sympathy of the community goes out to the widow and surviving members of the family in their sad affliction.- Guttenberg Press.
