Elkader Register, Thur., 22 Jan. 1925.
Smith Fuller Harris was born in Union Town, Penn., June 2, 1847. Cane to Clayton County, Iowa, with his parents in 1850. He grew to manhood and was married to Olive M. Haggard, who died August 29, 1915. To them were born six children, five of whom are living: Lemuel M. Harris, Freeman H. Harris, Mrs. John Moser, Mrs. Henry Harbaugh and Mrs. Watson Gull of Colesburg. He united with the reorganized church of Jesus Christ, of Latter Day Saints Sept. 22, 1911.
His life ended peacefully Tuesday Jan. 6, 1925.
He was a good father, a kind neighbor and a good citizen.
He spent his last years in the home of his daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Harbaugh.
The funeral services were conducted by F. L. Brock in the home and interment was made in Bethel cemetery, Thursday January 8th, 1925.
