Lyle Edward, youngest child of Elmer Muller and wife, Hilda, nee Schmidt, was born in Boardman Twp., Clayton County, Iowa, Feb. 28th, 1922.

A week ago, on Sunday, Jan. 11th, the child was taken sick. Medical aid was sought, and on Wednesday the parents took it to Finley Hospital, Dubuque, Iowa. Because of intestinal trouble an operation was performed the next day. Another twenty-four hours of suspense between hope and fear, and the Good Shepard took the little lamb in His arms and carried it in His bosom.

Our community extends its heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Muller, the little brother and playmate, Howard, the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. Muller, and the great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wistrick and Mrs. Lena Heiden.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, 1:30 at the home and at 2:00 o'clock at the Evangelical church, Rev. Franke officiating. Burial in the East Side cemetery.
