Elkader Register, Thur., 15 Jan. 1925.

Raymond Hervey Herman Glawe, youngest child of Mr. Albert Glawe and wife, Lucinda, nee Gottschalk, went to his heavenly home Thursday at noon, 10 minutes to one o'clock. The little boy saw this world's light in Wagner township, Clayton county, Iowa, September 20, 1923. He has had to carry a hard burden all his short life, suffering from exzema. How soon should the little pilgrim exchange the cradle with the coffin. Before he passed away painful convulsions beset him. All physicians care was in vain. God called him away at the tender age of only one year, three months and 18 days. Hot tears were shed by his sorrowing parents and his two brothers and four sisters, namely, Harold, Louis, Gladys and Lucille. The funeral took place in the Zions Lutheran church at Clayton Center, Sunday, January 11th. Rev. Wm. Wuestonberg spoke really impressive and comforting words in the mourning house, in the church and at the grave. Interment was made in the new cemetery at Clayton Center. May the deeply afflicted parents of their deceased darling triumphantly sing and say:

Should I not be always Glad ?
None whom Jesus loves are sad;
And when this short life is ended,
Those whom the Good Shepard tended
Will be taken to the skies
There to dwell in Paradise.
