She was a good Christian mother and loved by all. She was an early pioneer in Clayton county and spent the most part of her life in this county, with the exception of seventeen years which she spent in Nebraska, at which place her husband died seven years ago. Her age was 72 years, 4 months and 9 days. Her motto was

“Keep me little and unknown,
Purged and loved by God alone.”

May she rest in peace.
