Elkader Register, Fri. morning, 31 Dec. 1897. Local Scrap Bag columns. From the Strawberry Point Mail Press, ndated.

Peter Kleinlein was killed last Saturday morning about 5 o'clock, by a kick from a horse, at the barn of his brother John Kleinlein. His breast was crushed in and his arm broken. His funeral was held Sunday. John Peter Kleinlein was born Sept. 12th, 1827, in Nuernberg, Bavaria, and came to this country in 1858. Since his brother came in 1857 he has always made his home with him. He died at the age of 79 years, 3 months and 6 days. - Strawberry Point Mail Press.
