Elkader Register, Fri. morning, 17 Dec. 1897. Local Scrap Bag columns.

Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Eberhart, of Cox Creek twp., are in deep trouble over the loss of their daughter Anna, aged 6 months and 2_ days (looks like 26 or 28 days), who died Monday afternoon at 5 o'clock. The little one was a precious treasure whose departure leaves the family heart stricken. The funeral was held Wednesday morning at Mederville. The sympathy of many friends goes out to the sorrowing parents.
