Elkader Register, Fri. morning, 26 Nov. 1897. Littleport column.

The funeral of Mrs. P. Wiley was held at Littleport Monday at the Catholic church, Father Dollard officiating. She was quite an elderly lady and leaves a large family of grown children, who were all present at the funeral. The large number present attested the high esteem in which she was held by neighbors and friends.

(Note: WPA records indicate Ann Wiley Cooley, 1820 - 19 Nov. 1897, buried in Sacred Heart cemetery. See also her gravestone photo on the IGPP)
