KLOUGH, KLOUCH, KLOUCK

Elkader Register, Fri. morning, 29 Oct. 1897. Garnavillo column.

DIED - Oct. 22, at Manley, Iowa, Mrs. Klouck at the age of 67 years. Mrs. Klouch was born in Mecklenburg, Germany, in 1830. For many years she has resided in Clayton county with her children, and while among them, she lived a useful, busy life. At the time of her death she was staying with her son Fed, of Manley. She was buried at this place, Sunday, Oct. 24, Rev. F. Sommerlad officiating. Her wide circle of acquaintances all deplore her death, and extend their hearty sympathies to the bereaved children.

(Note: The surname was spelled both ways in the obituary. The burials in the old Garnavillo cemetery show the surname is actually KLOUGH)
