Elkader Register, Fri. morning, 22 Oct. 1897. McGregor column.
Henry Strouse, jeweler, died Saturday evening on the street, of apoplexy. He was 52 years old and has been a resident of McGregor since 1868. The funeral was held Monday, the Masonic brethern having charge and the remains were taken to La Crosse for interment.
