Elkader Register, Fri. morning, 27 Aug. 1897. Local Scrap Bag columns.

Twin babes were born to Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Cook on Tuesday evening last but they survived but a short time. Mrs. Cook is slowly recovering. They have the sympathy of their many friends in their trouble.

Note: likely burial place is Eastside cemetery, where their parents J.D. & Lena are buried.
