DIED - Saturday, July 31, 1897, Edward Thayer, aged 17 years. It is with the deepest regret that we are called upon to chronicle the death of this most excellent young man. Edward was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Thayer and was a promising young man. He was taken sick Tuesday with a malignant attack of inflammation of the bowels, and all that kind friends and the best of medical aid could do was of no avail and the good boy died Saturday, at 1 o'clock. The funeral took place Sunday and was largely attended. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of all in their sad affliction.
