Elkader Register, Fri. morning, 23 July 1897. McGregor column.

Leon Foster, son of C. H. and Maggie Foster, died Tuesday morning after a severe illness lasting but two days. He has been a sufferer from rheumatism all his life and was weak and crippled, and had no vitality. He was 27 years old Jan. 12th. The funeral was held Thursday, July 22nd, Rev. J. W. McCord officiating.
