Rev. Adam Craig, the venerable father of Dr. N.S. Craig, of this city, died at the residence of another son, Dr. J.H. Craig, at Volga City, December 29th, 1900, at the very advanced age of 92 years, 6 months and 3 days. Burial services were held at Hopkinton, in this county, where the remains were placed beside those of the faithful wife, who preceded the husband in death something over three years ago.
Rev. Craig had long been an active minister of the Presbyterian church, having held pastorates at Windsor and Esperance, New York, and at Lime Springs, Iowa. He was also an educator and among other positions was principal of the Ladies Seminary, at Milford, Delaware, and of an academy at Lime Springs for several years. For the past fifteen years or more he has been retired from active labor.
His immediate family remaining consists of but four children; Mrs. Eleanor C. Drake of Lime Springs, Iowa; Mrs. Grace C. Stark of Jasper, Minnesota; Dr. J.H. Craig of Volga City, Iowa and Dr. S.N. Craig of Manchester, Iowa. --Manchester Press

Notes: Died in Delaware co. Iowa. According to the obit of their son Joseph H., his first wife Mary died when Joseph (born 1850) was a child & is likely buried in New York state. His second wife was Catherine, who died in 1897. Adam & Catherine are buried in the Hopkinton cemetery, Delaware co. IA
