Elkader Register, Fri. morning, 21 May 1897. McGregor column.

Mrs. Michael Murray, aged 80 years, died Saturday. She has been a resident of McGregor for 42 years, most of that time landlady of the Murray House. She leaves one daughter, Mary, whose sorrow is shared by many friends and neighbors. The funeral was held from St. Mary's church Sunday afternoon.

Note: maiden name is from 1925 IA State census
