Elkader Register, Fri. morning, 30 Apr. 1897. Local Scrap Bag columns.

Dr. G. G. White, Tuesday, received notice of the sudden death of his brother, R. R. White, at Storm Lake that morning. Deceased was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. D. White, of Postville, and was about 41 years old. He leaves a wife and one son. The interment was at National, the old home and birthplace of the deceased. The family have the sympathy of their many friends.

Note: The biography of his father Thomas D. White names him as Roland R., born 6/20/1856
