Elkader Register, Fri. morning, 09 Apr. 1897. Guttenberg column.

On Monday morning occurred the death of John Becker, of Millville township, death resulted from paralysis of the heart. Deceased was 69 years of age and is survived by four children, Christ Becker, Mrs. D. Duwe, Mrs. Caroline Harnish, Mrs. Ricke Eckardt. The funeral will take place on Thursday at 2 p.m.. Interment will take place at the Dittmer cemetery. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of their friends.
