Elkader Register, Fri. morning, 26 Feb. 1897. Luana column.

Dan Bishop, an old time resident, was brought down from Calmar Friday for burial in the Luana cemetery. Rant Bishop, wife and brother-in-law, of New Hampton, came with the remains.

The remains of Dan Bishop were bro't here for burial by the side of an only son who died in infancy. Mr. Bishop married Maryette Crawford of this place. One daughter survives him.
