A dispatch received this morning announced the death at Remsen, Iowa, of Louis Wacker, a son of Mrs. Henry Wacker, of Mederville. He was kicked by a horse, dying within a short time. He was about 20 years of age and had been working there this summer.

(Note: The IGPP shows a gravestone photo for Louis Wacker, Jan. 21, 1880 - Oct. 31, 1901, in Mederville cemetery. The date of the newspaper death notice is clear. The death year on the gravestone appears to be in error.)
