Elkader Register, Thur., 19 July 1900. St. Olaf column.
Saturday evening the sad news reached town that Charles Kluth had died in the hay mow of heart disease. He leaves an aged wife and four children to mourn his loss. Two children have preceded him in death. The funeral took place at his home Tuesday morning, Rev. Seifert officiating. To our knowledge at least, all who came to pay their tribute of respect to their departed friend, felt that a good man, an upright citizen, a good and true husband and father, a faithful friend and obliging neighbor, had taken his departure into eternity. Let him be at peace with his God, who is love.
