Glen Hulbert Rites Conducted At Wadena:
Wadena--Funeral sevices were held last Sunday afternoon from the Gleim Funeral home at Arlington for Glen Hulbert, who died July 13, in the West Union hospital. Interment was in Taylorville cemetery, near Arlington.
Glen H Hulbert was born in Clayton county, near Elkader Nov. 27, 1895 and died July 13 [1951] at the age of 55 years, ten months and 13 days.
At the age of 22 years, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving ten months. Seven of the ten months were spent overseas. Oct. 2, he was married to Lizzie Homan, and to them two sons were born. Mr Hulbert engaged in farming most of his life, near Elkader, moving to Wadena a few years ago.
He is survived by his wife and two sons, Doyle, Oelwein, and Glen Jr., Wadena; three grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs Esther Macha, New Hampton, and Jesse Beherns, Elkader; five brothers, Ben, Wadena; Alvah, Elkader, Vern and Veni, Rockford, Ill., and Curley, New Hampton. His mother, father and a brother preceded him in death.Funeral Casket Bearers:
