After an illness of some months Anna Marie Behrns quietly past to the Great Beyond at 7 o'clock, Tuesday morning.
The deceased was born in Recklinghaus, Regiering Bezerk Munster, and came to America in 1847.
Moved by team from Galena to Jefferson twp., where she resided until the death of her husband in May 1889. Since that time she has been staying with her children at St. Cloud, Minn., Alton, Ia., and the last few years have been spent with her daughter, Mrs. X. Schaefers, where she was well taken care of especially during her illness.
She was a good Christian woman and strictly lived up to the Catholic principals. Her death is mourned by four children. Mrs. Walters, of St. Cloud, Minn., a daughter in the convent at Milwaukee, Mrs. F. W. Kann and Mrs. Xavier Schaefers, thirty grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The funeral will take place Thursday forenoon at ten o'clock Father Raedler conducting the services.

She was born 15 Nov 1818 in Hillen, Prussia. Came to America in 1847.
