Frederike Karoline Dorothea Reimer, nee Dammerfeldt, was born July 14th, 1848, at Ludwigsburg Kries Greisswaldt, Germany. She came to America with her parents in the year 1870, and was married Sept. 13th, 1870, to Frederick Reimer. There were born to them five boys all of which are living and all are at home. She died, March 26, 1900, at their residence in Lodomillo twp., Clayton Co., Iowa, from the effects of a stroke of paralysis. She will be sadly missed not only in the family circle but in the neighborhood where she had lived so long, being such a kind motherly soul, she was honored, respected and loved by all. The funeral was held Wednesday under the auspices of the M.B.A. and R.N.A. lodges of which she was an honored member. The remains were laid to rest in the Littleport cemetery. May she rest in peace.
