Peter B. Green died at his beautiful home on Oak hill farm, just east of Volga, 0n Tuesday March 27th. Mr. Green had been suffering with erysipelas for ten days and grew worse until death relieved him. Peter Green was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Bouchart, of Boardman twp., Clayton Co., and was born June 5th, 1853. In August 1858 he was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Green and is the only child. He was married to Lydia Sherman Oct. 12th, 1872, three children being born to them, William, the oldest being operator for the C., B. & N. R.R., at Cassville, Wis., Miss Vallie and Walter at home. Mr. Green was a good man, an affectionate husband, father and friend and highly esteemed by all. His death brings deep sorrow to our town and vicinity. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon and was largely attended, Rev. Shiffer, of the M.E. church, officiating.
