Grandpa Prettengier died Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Christ Andre, at the advanced age of 97 years. Undoubtedly he was the oldest man in Clayton county. The funeral was from his late home to St. Sebald Sunday and was very largely attended.

(Note: WPA records indicate Conrad Prottingeier, 1803 - 08 Feb. 1900, buried in St. Sebald cemetery.)
