Elkader Register, Thur., 14 Dec. 1922. Strawberry Point column.

The remains of John Gartz, formerly of this place but now of Oelwein, were brought here Monday afternoon for burial. Funeral services occurred in the M.E., the pastor Rev. L. C. Kirbry conducting the services. Mr. Gartz suffered a stroke which was thought to be the cause of his death. Besides his wife he leaves several children and grandchildren to mourn his death.
