Elkader Register, Thur., 07 Dec. 1922. Strawberry Point column.

The death of Mrs. Charles Neuenkirch, aged 70 years, 7 months and 7 days, occurred Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Baumgartner, after a lingering illness. Funeral services occurred at the Lutheran church Monday afternoon conducted by Rev. Fritschel and the remains laid to rest in the St. Sebald cemetery. She leaves to mourn her loss her aged husband, three sons and one daughter, Casper Neuenkirch of Waterloo, John Neuenkirch of Aurora, Herman Neuenkirch and Mrs. Chas. Baumgartner of this place, one sister Mrs. Adam Neuenkirch, besides several grandchildren and other relatives and friends. For several years past Mrs. Neuenkirch was afflicted with blindness, but bore her affliction with cheerful fortitude. A devoted mother, a true friend and a noble Christian woman has gone to her reward.
