Clayton County Register, Thur., 26 Oct. 1933. Luana column.

LUANA: Wednesday afternoon, about 4:30, the word was passed around that our friend and neighbor, Mrs. Henry Ziegler, had passed away at her home at the age of 67 years, after an illness of five years. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, a son Edgar Ziegler, and wife, of route one; a daughter, Mrs. Harlan Reinhardt, who with her husband resides on the old home farm on route No. 1; one brother, Christ Marting, near Garnavillo, and three sisters, Mrs. Alma Bierbaum of Groswold, Iowa, Mrs. Julia Werger of National, Mrs. Carrie Kerston of McGregor. Funeral services occurred Saturday afternoon from the Lutheran church at Luana, Rev. Kumpf, pastor. Burial was in the Lutheran cemetery.

(Note: WPA records indicate she is Maria Anna Ziegler, 1866 - 1933, buried in Luana cemetery.)
