Wenkstern, Charlie 1843 - 1933

Charlie Wenkstern was born in Germany in 1843 and passed away at his home in Fairview on Thursday evening at the age of 90 years. He came to America when he was 21 and lived in this community for 43 years. Mr. Wenkstern was a member of the Lutheran church and attended regularly while his health permitted. He is survived by one daughter Mary, who has kept house for him since his wife's death in 191_ (looks like 1919), and one son Wm. Wenkstern of Edgely, North Dakota. Funeral services were held from the home on Sunday afternoon with Rev. Hunger of Garber officiating. Burial was made in the Mt. Harmony cemetery._
