Catechist LoRang of Santa Paula, Calif., Mrs. Al Cottieh of Milwaukee, Mrs. Henry Thomas and Lambert LoRang of Dubuque and Mat LoRang of Cascade were called here the first of the week because of the serious illness of their father, Jacob LoRang

Jacob LoRang, retired truck gardener, died at his farm home here Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. He was 78 years old. Funeral services will be held at Guttenberg tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m.

Funeral services for Jacob LoRang, 79, were held at St. Mary's Catholic church in Guttenberg Friday morning at 9 o'clock conducted by the Rev. J.A. Dupont, pastor. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.

Mr. LoRang died at his home in McGregor Wednesday morning following a several weeks' illness.

He was born at Luxemburg, Europe. He received his early education in Europe. About a year ago, Mr. and Mrs. LoRang moved from Guttenberg, their home for many years, to Milwaukee. A short time later they moved to McGregor to live.

Mr. LoRang was a truck farmer and gardener for many years.

He is survived by his widow, one son, three daughters, and several grandchildren.
