Francis Joseph Kelleher died at the family residence near Elkader Monday evening at 11:30, following a lingering illness. He was born on a farm two miles south of Elkader, Iowa, Dec. 29, 1874, and resided on a farm in this vicinity all his life. He was united in marriage to Miss Ellen Funk, Oct. 5, 1915, and to this union were born two daughters. The survivors are the bereaved widow, two daughters, Eileen and Lole_ti Ann, both at home; four sisters and three brothers: Miss Anna Kelleher, Elkader; Mrs. Mae Zo_he, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Stella Beard, Detroit, Mich.; Miss Klo Kelleher, Chicago, Ill.; Jerry and James of Elkader and Edward of Marcus, Iowa.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic church and died comforted with the last rites. He was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters of Elkader.
Funeral services were held Thursday morning at 9:30 at the residence and at St. Joseph's church at 10:00 o'clock. Burial was made in St. Joseph's cemetery.
