I’m one of Elaine’s nephews, the son of her younger sister and last remaining Martin sibling, Lois L. (Martin) Zerkle.
The text of the obituary does contain Elaine’s maiden name - Martin.
I have updated the headline of the obit at the funeral home website and the Cedar Rapids Gazette online to reflect that info. Thanks for pointing it out.
As far as Sharon Taylor is concerned, perhaps you’re thinking of another Elaine Syverson, none of the relatives recognize the name as a niece of our Elaine.
