_______Funeral services were held at St. John’s Lutheran church Wednesday afternoon for Margaret Ernestine Beerman, former Guttenberg resident and widow of the late William Beerman. Mrs. Beerman, who has been making her home with her son, Harold, at Ventura, died at a Mason City hospital on February 25.
At St. John’s Church
The services at St. John’s church were in charge of Rev. W. T. Wolfram and Rev. William Domres and burial was in City Cemetery. Pallbearers for the services were Gust Reinitz, E. W. Tuecke, A. C. Becker, Grant V. Bayman, Oscar Pufahl and Ernst Pufahl.
Mrs. Beerman, nee Krueger, was born in Jefferson Township of Clayton County on November 17, 1878. In 1888, when she was ten years of age the family moved to South Dakota and lived on a farm near Spencer, where she lived until October 31, 1905. In that year she was married to Wm. J. Beerman. Mr. Beerman died on September 25, 1933.
Children Survive
Mrs. Beerman continued to make her home in Guttenberg until October, 1942, when she went to make her home with her son at Verntura.
Mrs. Beerman is survived by three children, Harold W. Beerman of Ventura; Mrs. Ray G. Stearn of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Lucille of Des Moines. Six brothers and one sister also survive. They are John, Fred, Ben, Louis, William and Rudolph, all of Spencer, South Dakota, and Mrs. Minnie Starks of Parker, South Dakota.
Two brothers, Paul and Henry, preceded her in death.
