Mrs. Wm. Beerman Is Taken by Death at Home

RITES FRIDAY

Death Tuesday evening at five o’clock claimed one of Guttenberg’s oldest residents, Mrs. Wm. Beerman. Mrs. Beerman was ninety-one years old.

Ill Short Time

A native of Guttenberg, Mrs. Beerman was in fairly good health until a few days ago when she became ill.

Funeral services for Mrs. Beerman will be held this Friday afternoon from the Beerman funeral home to St. John’s Lutheran church, where services will be conducted by Rev. W. F. Domres.

Burial in City Cemetery

Burial will be in the Guttenberg City cemetery with the following as pallbearers: Ernest, George, Herman, William, John and Ben Geuder.

Mrs. Beerman, the former Christine Geuder, was born in Guttenberg October 1, 1856, and had lived her entire life in the community.

On May 2, 1876, she was married to William Beerman. To this union were born seven children, four of whom survive her.

Surviving are three sons, H. L. Beerman of Guttenberg, Dr. E. A. Beerman of Barrington, Illinois, and O. A. Beerman of Marion, and one daughter, Mrs. Christine Scholz of Guttenberg, with whom Mrs. Beerman has made her home for many years.

Also surviving are ten grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, as well as one sister, Mrs. Mary Vander Ham of Ireton.

Mrs. Beerman was preceded in death by Mr. Beerman, one son and two daughters.
