William Helwig, aged 76, died Thursday evening at the Helwig home near Froelich after several months of poor health. Surviving him are one brother, August Helwig. A sister, Mrs. Jacob Miller, preceded him in death. Surviving are nine nieces and one nephew, also: Misses Marian and Willa K. R. Helwig of Froelich, Mrs. Ben Datisman and Mrs. Oscar Erickson of Inwood, Mrs. George Hubacher and Miss Emma Miller of Mason City, Ella, Norma and Grover Miller of Farmersburg. Mr. Helwig was a real brother, a kind uncle and a true neighbor. His friends are numbered by his acquaintances and his many acts of kindness will be long remembered. He was a willing giver to all good causes and was always ready to help with anything for the good of those around him. He was a true Christian. Funeral services were held at 1:15 at the home and 1:30 from the Prairie Evang. church, the Rev. G. T. Vieth officiating, with burial in the Giard cemetery.
