Funeral services were conducted at the Goshen church December 29th, for Mrs. L. H. Crist, who passed to her reward on December 26th, 1932.

Mrs. Crist was born October 22, 1876, in Millville township, being 56 years, three months and six days of age. She spent her youthful years in this vicinity, where her friends are legion, because to know her was to love her.

After her marriage to Lewis Crist, November 1, 1902, she resided in Fayette county. She was a devout Christian.

She leaves to mourn her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Wm. Manchester, Jr., of Strawberry Point; three granddaughters; her aged father, A. E. Penhollow of Millville; five sisters, Mrs. O. P. Smock of Oneida, Mrs. August Klebbe of Oelwein, Mrs. Andy Goeschel of Millville, Mrs. Blanche Minger of Guttenberg, and Mrs. Bertha Thompson of Milleville. Six brothers, Henry of Monroe, Nebr., William of McMinnville, Ore., Glen of Mesa, Ariz., and Ernest, Richard, and Alfred of Millville, also survive.

Her mother and two sisters and one brother preceded her in death. May she rest in peace.
