Mr. and Mrs. Leo Robinson of Edgewood were called here by the death of Leo's grandfather, Abe Jones, who passed away in Wisconsin. The remains were brought here for interment. Mr. Jones was formerly a resident of Volga.

Abram Benjamin Jones was born Nov. 30th, 1852, at Summerset County, Pennsylvania, and passed away on November 20th, 1928, at his home in Hawthorne, Wis. He assisted his father with farm work until he grew to manhood. On Dec. 23, 1874, he was united in marriage to Hattie O'Neal. To this union three children were born, viz: Mrs. Chas. Gorkow, of McGregor, Iowa; Harrison, who died in infancy; and William H., of Lima, Iowa. His wife preceded him in death in 1910. He was a butter maker in Edgewood for several years and then took up well drilling in Volga, which was his home for several years. In 1914 he moved to Hawthorne, Wis., where he purchased land and built a home. He leaves to mourn his death his two children, one brother, Thomas, of Stuart, Iowa, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The remains arrived in Volga, Saturday for burial. A short service was conducted by Rev. A. Chamberlain of the Methodist church. Interment was made in Hill Crest cemetery.
