Clayton County Register, Thur., 15 Nov. 1928.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Gunild Christenson was held last Thursday at the country Lutheran church of which she was a member all her life. Owing to her ______ _____ in the same neighborhood and her charming personal qualities the funeral was largely attended.

Gunild (Wold) Christenson was born October 29, 1853, in Wagner township, Clayton county, near the village of St. Olaf, Iowa. She died October 22, 1928, at 1:30 a.m., at her old home near the Turkey River, four miles south-west of Gunder. Her age was therefore 74 years, 11 months and two days. The cause of her death was a complication of the stomach and old age. She had suffered many years with failing health and for several years was confined to her bed a great deal of the time - the past two years almost entirely.

On May 2, 1871, she was united in wedlock with Ole Christenson. This wedding was an eventful one because the three Wold children were all married at the same time. Mrs. Christenson was the last one of the six persons married on that eventful day to pass away, the five others having preceded her in death.

The deceased moved with her husband to the farm near the Turkey River and has lived there until the day of her death, Mr. Christenson having preceded her in death 22 years ago.

There were ten children born to the union: three of them have passed beyond and seven are living. The surviving ones are: Christ, of Elkader; Ale and Albert, of Clermont; Mrs. Nick Johnson, of St. Olaf; Henry, of Wadena; Mrs. Bertha West, at home; and Enock, of Colorado Springs. There are also 27 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, besides many friends who always felt kindly towards Grandma Christenson and mourn her departure.

Her trust was in the Lord who suffered and died for her salvation and arose for her just___tion. She knew many hymns and after her eyesight weakened she found much ____ __ reciting these hymns from memory.

A touching part of the funeral service was when (Rest of sentence blurred, and any remainder of the obit was missing entirely.)
