William Rosenow, born November 25th, 1842, in Germany, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John P. Duff, four miles N.W. of Volga City, on Sunday, September 16th, 1928, at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 21 days. He had been visiting with his daughter and family since May of this year; his wife having passed away in February.

After short memorial services at the Duff home on Tuesday morning, September 18th, conducted by Rev. C. H. Franke, of Elkader, the mortal remains were taken by auto-hearse to Cashton, Wis., the home of the departed, where funeral services were held the next day.
