Clayton County Register, Thur., 15 Mar. 1928. Littleport column.

Gilbert Putnam, 21 year old farmer, met with a fatal accident Thursday afternoon, March 8th, when the horses he was driving ran away. He was thrown from the wagon and a broken neck was the result. Funeral services were held at his home and the body taken to Manchester for interment.
