Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 24 Nov. 1910. Monona column.
On Wednesday, Nov. 16th, from the M.E. church in Monona, was held the funeral of Margaret E. Collins. The deceased was born near Monona, July 4, 1851, and died at North McGregor, Nov. 13, 1910. Until 1902 her home was in Monona, but since then she resided at North McGregor. Miss Collins was a lover of books, especially those of poetry. Her life was retiring in habit and temperment, making few friends. She lingered long in illness, which terminated on Sunday evening, when the tired mind and body quietly rested in the slumber of death. The surviving brothers and sister brought the remains back to Monona and laid them away in the family burying place.
