On the morning of Sept. 11, 1910, about 3:00 o'clock, occurred the death of Mrs. Joe Little, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Meyer, in Highland twp.
Although she had been failing for the last few years, her health was good until the morning of Sept. 3rd, when she was suddenly taken ill, and from the effects of which she passed away.
Mary Feeley was born in the County Longford, Ireland, about eighty years ago. Coming to this country when about fifteen years old, she landed at New York City. On June 24, 1865, she was married to Joseph Little, who preceded her in death nearly eight years.
To this union three children were born, James, Mrs. Henry Meyer, and Joseph, all of whom lived near their mother and were in attendance at her death. Besides her children she leaves one sister, Mrs. Ann Cassidy, of Platte, S.D., eleven grandchildren, and a large circle of good neighbors and old-time friends, who gathered around her death bed and did all that kind hearts and willing hands could do to make her last hours as peaceful and comfortable as possible.
